College students get Window 7 discount

For less than it costs to take a date to a movie, with popcorn, the college set windows7can buy an upgrade copy of Microsoft Windows 7, the next iteration of its ubiquitous operating system. Home Premium or Professional will cost students just $30 until Jan. 3 and can be ordered through Microsoft’s online store. You’ll need a valid .edu email address to qualify and you can pre-order the software now ahead of the official Oct. 22 launch date.
